Quantum Australia Conference + Careers Fair, held at Royal Randwick from 20-22 February 2024, brought together the quantum ecosystem to explore the theme “Accelerating Impact: From Research to Commercialisation, and Developing Quantum Technology Markets.” This theme underscores the growing international recognition of Australia's burgeoning quantum research community. Moreover, it highlighted the Australian quantum community's evolving synergy with industry, showcasing business acumen with global outreach and application.
Over the course of three bustling days in Sydney, delegates immersed themselves in a wealth of knowledge through inspiring keynotes, engaging panel discussions, and invaluable networking opportunities. Together, they explored the frontier of quantum technology, delving into diverse topics ranging from use cases, to policy, research and commercialisation roadmaps and future opportunities. It featured a diverse line up of 60 speakers and panellists, with the support of 37 sponsors, Quantum Australia 2024 set the stage for advancements in the field of quantum technology.
At the Careers Fair, emerging talent connected with employers, training and research organisations working across quantum science and technology in Australia and overseas. Poster sessions showcased 61 researchers, while a select group of five students took part in two "Pitch Your Research" sessions during the conference.
