DeteQt – Australia’s newest quantum startup
With more than two decades of experience in diamond quantum technology, Jim Rabeau has established himself as a pioneer in the field. He has also launched new initiatives and built programs across industry and research. He led the Quantum Technologies Future Science Platform at CSIRO, was Deputy Director at University of Sydney Nano Institute, and has spent several years working in industry, including as a program manager at Microsoft Quantum Computing, and more recently as President of Infleqtion Australia.

In addition to his role as CEO of the Sydney Quantum Academy, Professor Turner holds an Honorary Professorship in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Macquarie University, and is a member of the Macquarie University Research Centre for Quantum Engineering. Professor Turner has an extensive research track record with over AUD$15.5 million awarded in competitive funding from the UK, US, Japan and Canada.
