Quantum Australia conference and careers fair brings together world-leading quantum researchers, businesses, government decision-makers, startups, and big tech to share developments and ideas.
Over 800 attended Australia's premier quantum event
The second annual Quantum Australia Conference and Careers Fair was held from 21 - 23 February 2023 in Sydney. Over 450 quantum experts, researchers, students, industry and government leaders joined in person with 350 tuning in online to hear from 65+ speakers and panellists.
The three-day event explored the theme ‘Building the foundations for a quantum economy'. The program featured engaging panels and presentations that delved into the latest developments and innovative collaborations helping to realise the potential of quantum technologies and foster the talent pipeline.
Among the topics covered were the government's role in the quantum ecosystem, sustainable quantum technologies, cyber security in the quantum age, Australia's strengths in quantum sensing, bridging the research-to-commercialisation gap, and the essential skills for career success in quantum technology.
The Careers Fair provided employers with a unique and valuable opportunity to connect with Australia's in-demand emerging talent, including early career researchers and students.

Over 800 quantum enthusiasts registered for the conference and careers fair held online and in-person.
The event featured 70 research posters, 19 panels and presentations, and 63 speakers and panellists from across the quantum industry in Australia and overseas. Over 20 sponsors and exhibitors also took part including Xanadu, CSIRO, Google, IBM, PsiQuantum, QuintessenceLabs, EY, and many more.
