Quantum Future Needs Assessment
A nationwide study on Australia’s workforce needs and preparedness for quantum technologies.

Are you ready for quantum?
Sydney Quantum Academy (SQA) commissioned Snapcracker Research to conduct the Quantum Future Needs Assessment - a research study about quantum technology and workforce needs in Australia.
The research is designed to gauge the level of awareness and understanding of quantum technology, explore training and recruitment needs for quantum skills, and understand the barriers for organisations to adopt emerging quantum technology.
The outcomes of the research will help inform the development of future quantum education and training programs and course content.
The online survey seeking responses from private and public sector organisations across Australia has now closed. A summary of the results will be shared publicly (in a de-identified form) later in 2023.
If you have any questions on the assessment, please contact info.sqa@sydney.edu.au or contact Snapcracker Research at andrew@snapcracker.com.au.
This study has been approved by the University of Sydney Human Research Ethics Committee (2021/834).
