Step into Australia’s rapidly growing quantum industry. Following a sold-out inaugural event in 2025, the Quantum Future Talent Careers Fair returns in 2026 with opportunities to learn more about study and career pathways, network with 30+ employers and university representatives, and discover the job-ready skills shaping Australia’s $6 billion quantum sector. Free to attend – register now!
Why Attend?
Whether you’re an undergraduate, postgraduate, higher degree research student, or career changer, this event connects you with the people and opportunities that may help launch your quantum career.
At the Quantum Future Talent Careers Fair, you will:
Connect directly with industry leaders, academics and employers to explore real-world opportunities in quantum roles
Learn from expertsand thought leaders to understand current trends and in-demand skills
Discover study and career pathways across quantum computing, photonics, sensing, communication, superconducting technologies, adjacent fields and more
Meet quantum companies and understand what skills, experience, and mindset they seek
Why Now?
Australia’s quantum industry is projected to reach $6 billion and employ 19,400 Australians by 2045 (CSIRO). Quantum Future Talent is your chance to get ahead, discover opportunities, and start building your career.
Industry Meets Talent sessions are short, structured, one-to-one conversations with leading quantum organisations. They are designed for career exploration and industry insight, not formal recruitment.
The sessions will take place at Sydney Masonic Centre on the morning of 18th May from 10:45am to 12:15pm. Each conversation will be approx. 5-7 mins in duration.
These sessions have been made possible thanks to Industry Meets Talent sponsor, Quantum Australia and QUBIC (Gold Sponsor).
What are the sessions like?
The sessions follow a speed‑dating style format, where selected participants have a series of short conversations with industry representatives.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
Explore the breadth of roles that support quantum innovation
Learn about different pathways into the sector, including non-linear and industry-first trajectories
Ask practical questions about roles, skills, and what it takes to thrive in a fast-paced quantum environment.
Key Dates:
Applications close 11.59pm on Sunday 10 May 2026.
Successful candidates will be notified on Wednesday 13 May 2026.
Who should apply:
Ideal candidates are cross-disciplinary learners from undergraduate to industry level in physics, engineering, computer science/software, data science, materials science, or related fields (including business or management), with an interest in quantum computing, deep tech, or how research becomes real-world technology.
We welcome those with experience or interest in programming, data analysis, systems thinking, simulation, or experimental/problem-solving work (including lab-based, circuit, embedded systems, or design-focused ‘tinkering’ approaches), and an openness to non-linear career pathways.
