ANZCOP-AIP summer meeting
A meeting showcasing the work of Australia and New Zealand’s physics and photonics community.
The 2023 Australia and New Zealand Conference on Optics and Photonics (ANZCOP) and Australian Institute of Physics (AIP) Summer Meeting is targeted at professional scientists, academics, post-doctoral researchers and PhD students.
Dr. Mikolaj Schmidt, Macquarie University will be chairing a session on "Coherences and Correlations in Australia and New Zealand: celebrating 60 years of modern quantum optics."
This session will look back to the foundations, and the present status of quantum optics. Guided by Profs. Margaret Reid and Gerard Milburn, the session will address the confusion that initially surrounded the experimental results from Hanbury Brown and Twiss, discuss the importance of 1963 contributions from Roy Glauber, and hear about new ideas explored in quantum optics labs in Australia and New Zealand.
Higher Degree Research students (HDRs) and Early Career Researchers (ECRs) are invited to submit abstracts by 25th September.
