How Amazon Web Services is bringing quantum computing to customers

Join us to learn how one of the world’s largest technology companies, Amazon Web Services (AWS), is venturing into quantum computing, and bringing customers on the journey. We delve into why AWS saw a future in quantum computing, what their customers are looking for and how the team are helping clients to solve problems using quantum technology.  

At the heart of AWS lays their ‘culture of innovation’, a mentality driving the company to harness the power of quantum. At this in-person and online event, hear from Michael Brett, the Principal Specialist for Quantum Computing in the AWS High Performance Computing Group.  

As a customer-focused technology company, Michael will share how the AWS mindset of “Start every process with the customer and work backwards” can still be achieved when delivering a product still very much in its infancy. 

In 2019, the company announced new ventures into quantum computing, including: Amazon Braket – a product allowing customers to experiment with quantum technologies; the AWS Center for Quantum Computing – a research centre adjacent to the California Institute of Technology (Caltech); and Amazon Quantum Solutions Lab – a new program connecting AWS customers with quantum computing experts. 

The in-person event will be held at AWS offices, Barangaroo, subject to COVID-19 Safety restrictions. There we’ll be joined by 3 Amazonians who are SMEs in Quantum Computing, including: Jacky Ko – Cloud Architect, Dilan Rajasingh – ANZ Enterprise BDM, Raisa Hashem – Specialist Solutions Architect. Tickets are limited.
